Evening Dune by GuyTal Evening Dune by GuyTal
These dunes, in a remote part of Death Valley National Park, are considered by some to be the tallest in North America. They rise over 600ft from the desert floor and offer wonderful views for those willing to put in the effort to scale them.
This is also a place to listen to what's known as "singing dunes". If you're fortunate enough to stand on top after recent rains, the dunes sometimes emit a deep reverberating ghostly sound that makes the experience truly surreal.

That is so amazing...what is it that makes them "sing"?
